• Description

  This Target Parser allows to set Uniform Information Gateway (UIG) and other subject Gateways as SFX Target
  The UIG provides simultaneous searching in different Czech and foreign resources (library catalogues, union catalogues, full text databases etc.) through one user interface.  Resources available in UIG are free accessible or licensed (the access is possible only from defined IP addresses).

Installation instructions

1. Download attached files
   • create new folder in your TargetParser folder named JIB (/exlibris/sfx_ver/sfx_version_3/sfxlcl3/lib/Parsers/TargetParser/CZLKB)
   • copy downloaded files to this folder
2. Login to the SFX Admin Center
3. Use the Target Manager to add a new target, e.g.:
   • Target: UIG
   • Public Name: Uniform information Gateway
   • Services: getHolding
4. Edit the new getHolding target service to add following details
   • Parser: CZLKB::JIB
   • Parse Param: collection=$$COLLECTION & lng=$$LNG & Portal=$$PORTAL
5. Use the KBmanager->User Parameters to add 3 new parameters
   • Press Add New Item
   • Choose your new Target Service (e.g. UIG-getHolding)
   • Flag Name fill COLLECTION
   • Flag Value fill SK
   • Add second parameter for language to the same Service
   • Flag Name - LNG
   • Flag Value - eng (for english)
   • Add thirth parameter to choose subject Gateway to the same Service
   • Flag Name - PORTAL
   • Flag Value - CNL (for UIG)
