Service Description

The Electronic Journals Library (EZB) is a directory of scientific and academic journals, publishing full text articles on the internet. The service has been developed at the University Library of Regensburg (Germany) and enables cooperative cataloging of e-journals done by more than 480 libraries. The participating members collect and update all bibliographic title information jointly in a central database. In addition, each institution can maintain its journal subscriptions by entering local license information. The EZB provides an OpenURL interface which can be used by SFX to fetch additional holding information for a specific OpenURL request and display it in the corresponding SFX service menu.
